Multitrans CZ has built sustainability on common sense: waste elimination, driver performance optimization, and technology that delivers measurable efficiency gains. Operations Director Jiří Zelinger: “We’ve never called ourselves an environmental company. But when you look at how we operate, you’ll find we do many things sustainably naturally, because it simply makes sense.” A 15-year Eurowag partnership underpins this approach.

Sustainability is widely discussed in transport but rarely drives actual decisions. Czech Republic faces rising highway charges, dropping freight volumes, and driver shortages. Large clients like Škoda Auto and suppliers are beginning to require CO₂ reporting in tenders — creating a market divide between prepared and unprepared companies.
Specializing in demanding shipments — sensitive goods, problematic locations, time-critical deliveries — with 22 own vehicles and freight forwarding partners. Fuel is 30–35% of costs. Customers have widely varying document formats. The company needed integrated tools for fuel data, driver analysis, route optimization, and toll management through a single provider.
Zelinger:
“Every time we fuel up, the system captures exactly what we’ve taken on, right down to fuel type and which station we used. Eurowag feeds us this data, and we pull it straight into our systems through their API.”
GPS monitoring analyzes driver performance across braking, consumption, and speed. Toll management enables precise route tracking, allowing assessment of which routes deliver best value in time and total cost.
Eight to ten driving parameters tracked per driver, with monthly grades influencing compensation. Management identifies exactly where drivers waste fuel for targeted training. Route optimization via Helios software with Google Maps integration. The company targets dramatic reduction of its nine-day unloading-to-invoice cycle through field-level document digitization.
Zelinger takes a pragmatic view:
“If HVO is competitively priced, we’ll use it. Otherwise, we need to convince customers to pay more for sustainable transport.”
The fundamental approach: every innovation must make economic sense, every system must improve efficiency, and every decision must be sustainable environmentally, economically, and socially.

Stop managing tools. Start managing your fleet. Eurowag Office connects fuel cards, toll, telematics and fleet management in one digital platform.
