Prague, April 9, 2026 – Eurowag, a leading provider of integrated road transport solutions in Europe, is preparing to open its eighth Truckpark in Torzym, Poland. This will be the second Eurowag location in Poland to provide a self-service filling station for eco-friendly HVO100 fuel. HVO is produced purely from renewable sources, can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90 %, and can be refueled in most diesel-powered vehicles without any intervention and without any change in consumption. Eurowag opened its first HVO filling station on February 17, 2026, in Slubice, as part of its own Truckpark offering comprehensive services for truck drivers.
"We will open the truckdriver-friendly truck park in Torzym on April 30, 2026. In addition to HVO100, Eurowag customers will be able to refuel with diesel, AdBlue, and windshield washer fluid. Drivers will also benefit from ample parking and extensive services, including a restaurant, hotel, spare parts shop, showers, toilets, laundries, and even a hairdresser,"
says Lajos Veér, Director of Operations and Energy Procurement at Eurowag. However, Eurowag will not stop there with the expansion of HVO fuel in Poland this year. During 2026, it plans to open three more new truck parks in Barwinek, Białystok and Suwalki.

HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel is an advanced renewable fuel made from waste fats and oils that enables immediate reduction of CO2 emissions (compared to diesel, it also has a negligible impact on particulate matter and nitrogen oxide emissions). It is a so-called drop-in fuel, thanks to which transporters don't need to invest in fleet replacement, while also contributing to decarbonization. HVO100 is a drop-in fuel, which is fully comparable to fossil diesel in terms of operation, making it completely interchangeable with diesel. It also offers a high cetane number (>70), better lubricity, and excellent cold start performance.
The high oxidation stability of HVO100 fuel also allows for long-term storage, reduces the risk of engine oil dilution, and makes this fuel infinitely miscible with conventional diesel fuel. It can be used in the vast majority of diesel engines, which can be easily verified by checking whether the car has an "XTL" symbol on the fuel tank cap. This type of biofuel is most widespread in Europe in the Benelux and Scandinavian countries. In the future, Eurowag plans to further expand HVO100 refueling options and offer them in all of its European truck parks (currently around 30). In addition to Poland, they are also located in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, and Spain.

“Approximately one thousand new diesel trucks are registered in Europe every day, making emission reduction a significant challenge. However, HVO100 offers a fast and cost-effective solution, enabling diesel vehicles to become nearly carbon neutral,”
explains Attila Dsupin, senior vice-president Energy at Eurowag.
In the EU, higher CO2 emissions increasingly mean higher toll charges, making the use of sustainable fuels ever more important. Eurowag’s strategy is built on multiple technologies, including biofuels, LNG/bioLNG, electromobility, and, in the future, hydrogen.
"Our goal is to offer customers a complete portfolio of services in the field of sustainable logistics. We believe that decarbonizing transport is not a matter of a single technology. The path to achieving climate goals requires a variety of solutions, depending on the specific situation and customer needs,"
explains Matthias Maedge, vice-president CRT Decarbonization at Eurowag.
