Eurowag grows Italian fuel acceptance network through Tamoil partnership

Eurowag is expanding its acceptance network in Italy through a new cooperation with Tamoil. Following a successful pilot, 150 Tamoil stations are being added each month starting September 2025. By Spring 2026, the Italian network will grow by 1,000 new locations, more than 200 of which will offer HVO, helping carriers reduce CO₂ emissions immediately.

The expansion also builds on Eurowag’s ongoing cooperation with the leading European OEMs. Strengthening the value proposition for Italian transport operators is one of their goals — not only by growing the acceptance network, but also by ensuring better access to alternative fuels such as HVO, which is increasingly requested by fleets.

“Our customers can already access alternative fuels at over 1,500 stations, making our network the largest in the EU for alternative fuel stations for trucks. And it continues to grow every day. Our collaboration with Tamoil confirms our position as a leader in decarbonising truck transport, helping to drive the industry towards a more sustainable future,” says Attila Dsupin, Eurowag's SVP ofEnergy.

Eurowag currently provides fuel at a nation wide network of partner stations in Italy, where carriers can purchase diesel and alternative fuels (including HVO and bioLNG, among others) at competitive prices. Four locations belong to the Eurowag Prime network, strategically placed along key commercial routes in Malcontenta, Trento, Bussolengo, and Tortona, offering premium services tailored to heavy road transport.

Expanding our network in Italy gives carriers more choice and flexibility. Beyond adding locations, we continue to support customers with advisory services on where to refuel most effectively — helping them save time, cost and emissions on the road.” Pavla Honzatkova, Eurowag's Supplier & OperationsManager for Italy, commented.
Bruno Tintori, Retail Technical Services Manager,Tamoil Italia: “This partnership with Eurowag marksan important step in our commitment to supporting international and domestic transport operators with broader, more flexible access to quality fuel solutions. By integrating our network into Eurowag’s acceptance system, we are not only enhancing convenience and efficiency for carriers but also accelerating the adoption of cleaner fuels like HVO across Italy.”

Most of the newly added Tamoil stations will also accept in the near future Eurowag Pay, the company’s simple and fraud-protected mobile payment solution, ensuring faster and more secure transactions for carriers on the road.
