Three decades of family-values-driven growth have transformed Domino Trans into a 100+ vehicle enterprise earning €18m. The domestic fleet operates exclusively on HVO100, consuming ~9,000 liters monthly for a key automotive partner. Eurowag’s full platform — tolls, fuel, VAT refunds, and navigation — provides the data infrastructure for the company’s decision-making culture.

Market context
Western Hungary’s transport sector was shaped by EU accession in 2004, which opened international corridors but also saw Western European wages lure experienced drivers away. An ageing workforce, limited new driver pipeline, and lifestyle demands make driver retention a central strategic concern.
Operational challenge
Domino Trans needed to consolidate toll, fuel, VAT, and fleet tracking through a single provider, replacing fragmented multi-vendor relationships. The company also required a training pipeline addressing both skill development and cultural integration for new drivers.
Eurowag’s role
Domino Trans uses nearly the entire Eurowag portfolio. Managing Director András Bánfi: “The greatest advantage has been the quality of data delivery. We receive accurate, real-time information, and we can view fuel prices and vehicle positions on a single interface. This is an enormous help in decision-making.” Dispatchers, fleet managers, and finance work with the same dataset for route planning, refueling strategies, and cost analysis.
Measurable impact
The domestic division’s ten trucks operate exclusively on HVO100, reducing CO₂ by 85% at ~4% cost premium. The new facility features solar panels. ISO 14001 environmental certification has been held since 2013. An in-house driver program trains young people from van driving through C and E license qualification, with two-year employment contracts upon completion.
Strategic outlook
Domino Trans is actively shaping sustainable logistics practice — where business rationality and environmental awareness operate in concert. The combination of HVO100, solar-powered facilities, ISO certification, and Eurowag’s integrated platform positions the company for growing client expectations around measurable environmental performance.
