What is a truck driver card?
A truck driver card is used to record information about a driver’s working hours. It is a digital tachograph card that every professional truck driver must carry to monitor and comply with legal requirements such as driving time, safety breaks, and rest periods between trips.
How to obtain a truck driver card?
The digital truck driver card is issued upon request by the driver. The application can be submitted at any municipal office with extended jurisdiction. The card is always issued in the driver’s name, and the application must include a valid driving license that contains the driver’s name and all required entitlements for driving a truck.
To obtain the driver card, an administrative fee of 172.20 PLN must be paid. The office usually has up to 3 weeks from the date of application to process and issue the card. It must be collected in person from the same office where the application was submitted.
