The days when trucks windscreens are full of countless tolling boxes (OBU) are coming to an end thanks to the new Eurowag invention

Eurowag, a leading payment solutions provider in Europe and a registered EETS provider, announced today a list of additional features of the much-anticipated on-board unit that will progressively be accepted for toll roads across the whole of Europe.

  • EUROWAG ANNOUNCES FULL SET OF NEW FEATURES WITH IT’S EETS READY ON-BOARD UNIT.
  • WITH THE NEW OBU, CUSTOMERS WILL BE ABLE TO PAY FOR TOLLS IN HUNGARY, AUSTRIA, DENMARK-SWEDEN BRIDGES, SLOVENIA AND BELGIUM AT LAUNCH OR SHORTLY AFTER.
  • THE FIRST ON-BOARD UNIT WILL BE SHIPPED TO CUSTOMERS BY THE END OF 2018.

The new on-board unit will allow customers to pay for toll in Hungary, Austria, Denmark-Sweden bridges, Slovenia and Belgium on launch or shortly after, and Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and the rest of Europe coming soon after.

In addition, the new on-board unit will switch from country to country automatically when crossing the borders, so that the driver can be rest assured the toll payment is in good order at all time with Eurowag. Additionally, the Eurowag EETS unit gives the GPS positioning of the truck to ensure you always know where your vehicles are and is the only OBU to have a color screen with an easy to use menu for the driver, so all key messages are easy to interpret. Versatility is a key asset of the device, and it can easily be switched between vehicles, charged from the 24/12V socket of the cabin and updated over the air.
