Eurowag at CORTE’s 20th Anniversary – Joint Efforts for the Development of European Transport

Eurowag representatives, formerly operating as the Inelo Group, have been cooperating with CORTE for over 15 years, bringing expert insight and hands-on experience. Participation in the organisation’s work enables us to monitor legislative changes in advance and actively contribute to shaping European standards in transport control and technology within the TSL sector.

Our experts joined the meeting of the Enforcement Working Group, during which Piotr Żółty was appointed to the Executive Board of CORTE.

This is an important recognition of his commitment and active contribution to the dialogue on the development of transport regulations in Europe.

The discussions focused on key topics such as:

• Installation of tachographs in light vehicles with a GVW between 2.5 and 3.5 tonnes, and related challenges for drivers and carriers,
• Preparation of five new RTMs (Remote Tachograph Monitoring data sets) to be collected from tachographs via DSRC communication for remote monitoring purposes,
• Technical difficulties in entering manual records in tachographs over longer periods covering various types of driver activities.

Participants also discussed the new tachograph pictogram – the suitcase symbol, which will be used to indicate periods of occasional passenger transport.

Although work on its implementation is still ongoing, it has already been confirmed that drivers will not need to replace their cards – the latest G2V2 driver card versions will be able to record this data without any replacement required.
