Top management is the cornerstone of a business and its values. When carrying out their work, the people at the helm of W.A.G. turn to the principles of trust, integrity and teamwork. The board and Chief Officers consist of managers with high creative potential, years of experience and extensive expertise in the field of international trade, transport, finance and the oil industry.

Thanks to these values and their unique synthesis, for a long time now the company has been creating innovative products and services, which owing to their high quality and added customer value, are assuming an ever-stronger position among fleet card issuers internationally.

Board

Martin Vohánka
Chief Executive Officer, Chair

Shortly after completing secondary school, Martin set up W.A.G., which he now controls as board chairman.

W.A.G. payment solutions, a.s. is currently one of Europe’s six largest providers of mobility-related payment solutions.

Martin lectures at the University of Economics, Prague, and holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Martin has long maintained an interest in the furtherance of civil society and is a co-founder of the Nadační fond nezávislé žurnalistiky (Independent Journalism Foundation) and the Nadace BLÍŽKSOBĚ (Closer Together Foundation).

In 2014, he was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year contest.

 

David Holý
Vice-President Business Administration, Vice-Chair

Straight after returning from university in 1996, David decided for a career in transportation and international commerce. He was W.A.G.’s first employee.

Over the years, David has been instrumental in W.A.G.’s success and profitability. David created all the back-office systems, which have contributed to the company’s sustained high rate of growth. His accomplishments include designing the current system of fuel cards that has given W.A.G. such a competitive edge in the market.

Tomáš Svatoň
Vice-President Corporate Controlling, Member

Upon graduating from the University of Pardubice in marketing, management, and logistics, Tomáš went to work for PARAMO, a.s. In 2003–2006 he was PARAMO’s sales director and served on the statutory boards of its subsidiaries. Subsequently, he spent two years as a director and board member of the Obchodní tiskárny, a.s. printing group.

Tomáš has been working with W.A.G. since November 2008. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in April 2009.

Pascal Guyot
Vice-President Corporate Development, Member

Over the course of more than twenty years, Pascal has accumulated extensive international experience in executive positions in the oil industry, the fuel cards field, and electronic trading.

Pascal spent 13 years with TOTAL. As General Manager of “PAN Europe Card”, a consortium of leading oil companies that partner with TOTAL in the area of international fuel cards, he successfully managed the consortium’s development. Later, he joined AMADEUS, the world’s number-one supplier of technology for airlines.

Pascal holds an MBA from the EDHEC business academy.

Attila Dsupin
Chief Commercial Road Transport Officer

Attila has spent a total of 18 years working in different business and finance roles at the international company MOL, an oil and energy sector business. He has spent the past several years as CEO of MOL in the Czech Republic.

He came to W.A.G. in August 2016 in the role of Chief Commercial Road Transport Officer (CCO).

Klaus Burkart
Chief Shared Service Center Officer

Klaus comes with extensive experience in the field of mobility solutions for transport companies. During the course of his career, he has worked in many European countries as well as China. Prior to joining W.A.G., he worked 8 years in various roles at German company DKV, among others as vice-president for the Eurasia region.

Klaus started at W.A.G in December 2016 and is appointed in the role of Chief Shared Service Center Officer (CSO).

Tomáš Michek
Chief Financial Officer

After completing his studies in economics, Tomáš worked at Fujitsu Siemens Computers between 2005 and 2008 – first as a controller, and later as a regional controller for Central and Eastern Europe.

He has been with W.A.G. since October 2008 – first as the head of the accounting and controlling department and as of April 2015 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Martin Hannsmann
Chief Quality Officer

After studying statistics and probability, Martin taught at the University of West Bohemia in Plzen for several years. In 1996 he was appointed as quality manager for PLM, a Swedish company later renamed Rexam and Petainer. In 2003 he was appointed as manager of the Aš plant going on to pick up several acknowledged awards during the course of his tenure spanning over ten years.

He joined W.A.G. in October 2014 as Chief Quality Officer (CQO).

Ivan Jakúbek
Chief Corporate Development Officer

Ivan boasts more than 15 years experience leading fast growing companies. Before joining W.A.G. he worked for Enterprise Investors where he picked up diverse experience in the field of software products, financial services and international truck transportation. Ivan has contributed to building successful strategies such as for companies like AVG Technologies, Kofola and STD Donivo. Ivan has been supporting civil society organisations especially in the field of education. He is also president of the Slovak Association for Development Capital.

He has been working for W.A.G. since April 2017.

Neil Brownlie
Chief Commercial Light Vehicles Officer

Neil brings 25 years’ international business experience working across financial services, cards & payments and technology services. He has lived and worked in many countries including Portugal, Turkey, Germany and Austria. Prior to joining W.A.G. Neil held a number of roles at CSC including Head of Fuel Cards and Strategic Deals Executive. Prior to his business career Neil was a Commissioned Officer in the British Army and served in combat operations in several countries.

Neil studied Commerce (with French) at Napier University in Edinburgh. He joined W.A.G. in February 2017 as Chief Commercial Light Vehicles Officer.
